I think it is safe to say that we are all facing a fair amount of uncertainty at the moment. Covid-19 has shaken the world. Many countries are in lockdown or at least practising social distancing. For the first time, all of us are facing challenges that we never thought we would.

The struggles are real.....
A lot of us, myself included, are now juggling working from home and homeschooling. Time outside in open world is limited if not restricted completely and filling up the days with educational activities is somewhat daunting not to mention exhausting.
I know I am not alone when I say my children are struggling with the changes that we have been forced to adapt to. They are missing their routine, their family, their friends and the outdoors.
Positivity and contribution
I have been seeing a lot of positive contributions from individuals, businesses and companies all across the internet. I have been racking my brains to find a way that I can also contribute. Whilst I don't have the skills of the frontline workers who are working tirelessly during these testing times, I do have mad design skills. My specialism is designing memory keeping journals and planners. So, I have done just that.
I have designed a free Stay at Home Journal for kids (and adults if they so wish). Where the world is talking endlessly about Covid-19 this journal avoids it completely. It is a positive journal focused on helping them through this tough time. It also serves as a great memory keeping journal which they can keep and look back on in years to come. There are lots of fun pages included that your children can complete from logging a daily journal entry to making note of the books they have read, movies they have watched and games they have played. Take a look at the graphic below to see some of the pages included.

If your children are not yet at an age where they can write in this journal you can complete the journal pages for them and have them help you along the way.
Intent and purpose
The journal can also help you to help your child. The daily journal entry pages are designed to help them express how they are feeling without directly asking them to express their feelings. They have the opportunity to write how they spent their day, make a list of things they are grateful for and share how they are feeling using an emoji chart.
There is no need to log in to the Little Chiqui VIP library to download this freebie. Simply click the download button below. The journal has been designed to be printed duplex on A4 paper. You can also use US letter size paper. A general print guide is also available for you to download. Please note that the grammar in this journal is based on UK English.
Upon clicking the download button please select FILE > SAVE AS then name your Stay at Home Journal and press save. This will save your journal in PDF format ready for you to print.

Please note
Please kindly note: this journal is for personal use only. Commercial use of any kind is strictly prohibited.
Printing and storing the journal
Simply print the journal, hole punch it and store it in a regular binder or folder. If you need additional pages you can simply print duplicates of the pages you need. Each page design is centralised with an ample left and right hand margins to allow for hole punching/binding.
Make this journal something your kids will come to treasure. Have them add other things to the journal such as pictures they have drawn or things they have collected. Protective sleeves are a perfect solution to help store items that can't be easily hole punched.
Finally.....
My contribution is only small but I hope it can help make a difference. Please spread the word and share the love by sharing with your friends and family on facebook and instagram. If you share the journal on social media please use #todaysmomentstomorrowsmemories and tag me using @littlechiquipaperie.
Let's try and make the most of a less than ideal situation. Use your time wisely and make the most of spending time with your loved ones. Most of all, please follow the advice given to you by your government and stay safe.
Much love, Tina
